Dee is the Communications Chair-elect of the APMP Central Texas Chapter. Dee has over 20 years of experience providing planning, proposal, and marketing services to a local engineering and environmental firm. She is currently the Director of Marketing and Business Support at URS Corporation. With a local Austin office of over 700, URS is one of the largest engineering, architectural, environmental, and construction management firms in the U.S. Dee’s group provides proposal services for the local office plus supports other large, nationwide proposal efforts for municipal, state, private/commercial, and federal clients. Proposals range in physical size from 5 pages to over 1,000 pages (multi-volume), with contract awards ranging from the thousands to over $1B. Dee is a native Texan – she grew up on a ranch on the coast and had her own horse. She graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Journalism and has been in Austin since then. Dee has been a long-time member of APMP and has attended numerous conferences. An avid reader, Dee is a member of several book clubs. She also likes to go dancing and shop for antiques. When time allows, travel is always in the picture (most recent trip was to the Napa Valley).
